I have had this backpack for about 1 year now, and it is perfect for what I needed. In it, I have a Hero 4 Black, 3rd party skeleton frame (thats quite bulky and still fits just fine), and the original Hero, plus 5 batteries for the Hero 4 and 2 for the Hero, multiple SD cards, a portable backup harddrive (Kingston Mobilelite), a suction cup mount, a gorilla tripod, floaty backdoor, a ridiculous amount of mounts and cables, and probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting about. And all of that fits in the front pocket. Then you still have the normal "Backpack pocket" in the back that has plenty of room for my laptop, iPad, clothes, food, whatever. The compression straps allow me to pack everything in loosely, then I can tighten them down to make it easier to carry, plus the strap that goes around your waist makes the weight MUCH easier to carry when hiking. I took this backpack on a ~12 mile hike in CO. with 3000 feet elevation gain, and hardly noticed the pack. The waist strap even has stretchy "easy-access" pouches that are fantastic for keeping phones, chapstick, granola bars or whatever.
I really can not say enought good about this pack.
