I'm updating my previous review for this product. After using this bag for a bunch of course work in the distiguous forest of the Adirondacks... I can say without a doubt that it is super versatile. Great/comfortable hiking pack as well!

I would! I would also recommend this bag to customers

On the Thule website the colors are off and they don't do justice to what the actual bags look like. I bought the greenish bag with the orange top... the picture on the website made it look like more of an olive drab color not a forest green. This green is fine but it's very much a Hunter's Green not my style. However, the color isn't everything I don't really care about that... As a quick day bag this does everything. I can throw fly rod tubes down the front pocket and use the main storage to hold lunch and whatnot that I need for the day. When I go hiking this bag works amazingly!

Fair weather only

I use this on my daily commute, for hiking, and as a multipitch climbing pack. The pack looks amazing, and carries well with light loads. Heavier loads are ok but not super comfortable for shorter people (that's not the pack's design, really). The worst is that rain soaks through the top almost immediately. It also runs into the stash pocket, and then soaks through that panel as well. It is only suitable for dry weather w/o the raincover. Given the fact that every panel except the top and inside of the stash pocket are waterproof, I'd say this is a major design flaw. Would not recommend unless you always carry an umbrella.
