Well built, but...

To be used for carrying kayaks

Too long for my Acadia

Surprised to be disappointed

We had a trip coming up so I was excited to receive the Bars until I took them out of the packaging. The plastic coating was beat up. They looked used! This is not what I expected. I should not have been charged full price for a used product. I assume they will break down quicker since the coating is damaged and moisture can get to the metal. I would have returned them immediately but needed them for our trip.

Who's the idiot that discontinued the LB78?

I'm looking for the LB78 (ie. Squarebar 200??)... you PREVIOUSLY made the LB78, and while I expect it sold fewer than the shorter & more popular lengths, it actually served a niche crowd that can't just make do with the LB60 (now called the Squarebar 150). Bring back the LB78. There's no reason not to... you literally just change the stopper on your chop saw when you cut your squarebar stock to length... And fire the idiot who discontinued the LB78 in the first place. They aren't doing your company any good. They need to understand that THULE serves niche crowds. As such you need to provide a broader variety of products to suit all the small niches, NOT streamline your offerings and leave your former customers looking for your next best competitor.
