I purchased this rack with my wife in mind. I wanted something light that was easy to mount and dismount, which it is. I have the two bike rack. The two problems that I have is that there isn't enough space between bikes. With two bikes mounted the bikes touch. I would suggest if you only need a two bike rack to get the three bike model to have enough space. The second problem are the straps. The holes never seem to line up for good tension, they most often are too loose are too tight. My wife always has a problem connecting the straps. Also the straps aren't long enough. They fit ok if your bike has regular size top tubes, but if they are over sized or odd shaped it can be a problem. My wife and I have Orbea bikes, which have a more square top tube, and we have to use the last hole on the strap, which isn't easy to do. If any one from Thule is reading this I would suggest going to a ratcheting type system.
