What is a jogging stroller?

It is not recommended to run or jog with a stroller that is not specifically made for jogging. Thule jogging strollers are intentionally designed with 3 wheels to increase stability at higher speeds. A smaller wheel in front allows for easy steering and maneuverability. It’s locked in place to keep a steady line of motion and to keep the stroller from veering off when encountering uneven terrain. Our strollers are also built with air filled tires and suspension for a smooth, comfortable ride each and every time.

What are the benefits of running with a jogging stroller?

Running with a jogging stroller does add some resistance to a standard run; therefore, Thule jogging strollers are designed with performance in mind.

  • Lightweight aluminum frame minimizes the total weight being pushed
  • Aerodynamic design reduces wind interference
  • Oversized, air-filled tires ensure a smooth glide over various terrain
  • Twist hand break helps control downhill and forward speeds (included with Thule Urban Glide and Thule Glide and with an additional accessories for the Thule Chariot series)

Although you can expect your average running speed to be slower while pushing a jogging stroller, our premium line up of joggers have proven their high-performance ability. Three of our models have made their way into the Guinness World Record books for fastest marathon or half marathon while pushing a stroller.
