I have the XT Pro 2 bike rack and love it. I got the extension to be able to carry four bikes. I have some gripes about the bolts thought. Once you begin tightening the bolts that hold the trays to the center piece, they start to tighten up way early and have to be forced down. I'm never going to take the individual trays off so I wasn't too worried. However, the same was true for the bolts connecting the extension to the existing rack. This is poor alignment tolerating. The holes noticeably don't line up, and tis means the bolts can't go in straight. I want to be able to take the extension of my rack off when I don't need to be hauling more than a bike or two, but I worry the threads will strip out and my rack rendered useless. Also. When screwing in the center bolt that connects the release lever throughout the rack, it's hard to see the bolt head, or to line up the bolt with the bolt hole on the rod running through the center post. The instructions being entirely pictures, with no written guidance at all did not help. I'm extremely frustrated after that install, as it was not as breezy as the instructions, or how to video on the Internet made it seem. But, I do love the rack and it's was of use. So I give it 4 stars, because I can't do 3.5, and the loss of stars is entirely related to the bolts.
