Our bike trailers fit most traditional bikes. But if your bike is not a traditional geometry, you may need to see an adapter. Read on to determine whether or not your bike is compatible with our bike trailers.

Most bicycles have a 5mm quick release (QR) through the rear axle. These are fully compatible with our bike trailers.

The following bicycles will require additional adapters:

• Bikes with 12mm Thru-Axles
• Bikes with internal gear hubs
• Bikes where the geometry of the bike frame makes it difficult to fit our hitch cup (like bikes with a stand).

The Thule 3D Drop Adapter - 10mm Spacer

This accessory lets you attach a bike trailer even if your bike has a hooded dropout, this is the case for bikes that have a stand, for example. This type of bike is illustrated in picture 4 above.

Thule Internal Hub Hitch Adapter Shimano

This accessory lets you attach a bike trailer to your bike even if you do have a internal or drop out (picture 3 in the illustration above).

Thule Thru Axle Shimano M12 x 1.5 black

This accessory lets you attach the bike trailer to a bike with a 12mm Thru-Axle. This type of bike is illustrated in picture 2 above.
