Incompatible with sun roof

We recently purchased this product on line after seeing that this was the recommended rack for our car, the VW Golf Alltrack SE. A sun roof is a standard feature on this car, yet the rack is incompatible with the sun roof, which means it is incompatible with the car. When we contacted customer service, we were told they don't take sun roof into account because it doesn't affect the safety of the car. This is obviously not true, since the car is damaged if you try to open the sun roof while the rack is installed. It is disappointing that Thule has not done their due diligence and does not feel it is their responsibility to do so.

Straps Deteriorate

The AeroBlade edge bars are much quieter than my past Thule rack systems and they blend more seamlessly with the stock roof rails. The problem is that the rubber straps that secure the bars deteriorate in under a year. This is a high-end product and the straps should have been made with more durable materials. Replacement straps are priced separately and cost as much as an entire aeroblade.

Straps crack

On my 3rd year, 3 straps are cracked half way through and now I see they are $30 to replace EACH?? Hoping for a warranty claim.
