So close!

It's so close to being a great pack. Light, mesh back and shoulder straps are great, good zippers and great construction. Built in rain cover is fantastic. There are a few small problems and one kind of big one, the volume is distributed badly. It's very shallow and should be at least a few inches deeper, because that volume is very cheap in terms of space, it compresses away when you don't need it. But you will ALWAYS need more depth space with this bag, it's super frustrating. There are no easily accessible pockets for phone or anything, and you technically CAN reach the top small pocket or hip belt pocket, you can't fit a cell phone and it's hard to get to. I think the interchangable hop pocket is a good idea on paper but doubt anyone will use it much, just stick a nother (bigger, more accessible) pocket with pole loops! The rain flaps over the zippers are unbelievably annoying and get caught every time and have absolutely no place on a performance pack, just charge $5 more for more waterproof zippers. They are not noticably heavier. Overall a great bag though, but design quirks limits it to a very specific use case
