Celebrate Earth Day with Thule and Leave No Trace

For the last 30 years Leave No Trace has made it their mission to provide outdoor enthusiasts with proven, research-based solutions for the protection of the natural world around them. This fantastic organization works closely with the public and those managing public lands, focusing on education as it is the most effective and least resource-intensive solution to land protection. 

The 7 Principles of Leave No Trace provide an easily understood framework of minimum impact practices for anyone visiting the outdoors. The Principles can be applied anywhere — from remote wilderness areas, to local parks and even in your backyard. Each Principle covers a specific topic and provides detailed information to empower you to minimize your impacts.

2)    Travel & camp on durable surfaces

3)    Dispose of waste properly

4)    Leave what you find

5)    Minimize campfire impacts

6)    Respect wildlife

7)    Be considerate of others

Since 2016, Thule has been proud to partner with Leave No Trace to help support their Traveling Teams program which serves as the mobile education arm of the organization.  These two-person teams deliver hands-on educational trainings, workshops and outreach programs for adults and children of all ages and backgrounds.  Take a look at their upcoming event schedule here.
