Comments about Thule Perspektiv Daypack:
This is the nicest camera backpack I have ever used. It's comfortable well made and it works. I carry a Nikon D750 with a 14-24 mm, 35mm f2, 60mm micro, 105 macro ais, 50mm 1.8 and a 28- 80mm in the main compartment and a 70-200mm vr and a Tc17 converter in the top compartment and a monopod on the side. It has nice wide shoulder straps well padded back and a rain cover. It's a nice neat very well thought out backpack with style.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Stiff, lack crucial storage, and semi-uncomfortable
By Chris Explorer

I was somewhat disappointment with some features this backpack had. I had an issue with the side spandex water bottle holder, or just a tripod holder? The spandex fabric is too snug and too low to fit any waterbottle from falling out. There are times my 1L Nalgene water bottle would fall out when I would hunch over slightly due to the spandex mesh fitting so low and too snug fit. I have even tested it with a 12oz water bottle and find it does not fit and falls out. If this mesh was strictly a monopod/small tripod holder, then this pack should include a hydration pack/slot. I would have to use the side clips meant for the monopod and attach it to the handle look of my water bottle, but this made it somewhat annoying to keep unbuckling the straps so many times to access my water bottle.Another feature was it's total rigid design. It was hard to fit some objects in the zipper pockets because the fabric was too snug. The pack however has a sizeable top loader compartment. It can fit a packable jacket, a sandwich, keys, wallet, and chapstick. I was able to fit 2 pairs of shorts, and 2 shirts and have room for an electric razor and hair product when I was jumping from one place to another for the day. If you have any heavy lenses, this backpack CAN get heavy. This pack is already 2 pounds, plus another couple pounds of camera equipment and extra storage can add up. The side straps help reduce some weight, but the shoulders might start hurting after a 2-4hr hike or just simply wearing the backpack on all day. So only take what camera equipment you need and leave the rest at base camp or at home. Overall, this pack is an okay backpack. I'd use it for short hikes, urban exploration, or easy going biking, skiing/ snowboarding activities. With a lighter frame, less stiff design, access to a 13" laptop, maybe some loops for carabiner access, and bigger mesh pocket for a water bottle. This pack to me can be an easy 5/5 stars.

Perfect Multi-use Pack
By John from Up North

My primary use for this pack is to transport my camera gear during my outdoor adventures and for the odd occasion when I'm shooting events. This pack has travelled with me through rain and snow and my camera equipment has never been protected the entire time. During a skiing/outdoor trip to Wyoming, this pack carried my lenses, body, and tripod into the foothills. After removing the internal camera bag and camera equipment, I then used this bag the following day to hold extra clothing and gear while snowboarding. The internal camera bag holds and protects two of my lenses, my flash, and my camera body with another lens. On the outside, the multiple pockets over the pack are great for carrying remotes, extra memory cards, chargers, sunglasses, water bottles, and other small gear items that you may need during a trip/shoot.My only negative with the pack is the fact that the torso straps are very unsubstantial compared to the rest of the bag. While using this pack during hikes, the weight of a tripod can cause lateral shifting that could possibly be remedied by a more substantial set of torso straps.
