Stroller from birth - five valuable tips

Getting a stroller as a first time parent is so much fun – but it is also a tough choice to make! Here are five valuable tips to make it a bit easier to get a first year’s stroller.

1. You need a stroller that lies flat

Infants need to lie flat, so make sure that you get a first baby stroller that has a bassinet or has a bassinet as an accessory. As your child grows, a reclining seat gives great comfort in sleeping, resting, and upright position.

2. Choose an easy to fold stroller

Go for an easy to fold stroller, if possible with self-standing capability. This makes for easy carry, transportation, and storage. Look for a one hand folding mechanism – then you can fold the stroller while carrying your child.

3. You´ll need a raincover for your first year’s stroller

Weather will not always be on your side. Keep your child protected with a custom fitted raincover for maximum weather protection. Make sure it has a front window for ventilation and easy access to your child.

4. In the summer, sunshade is important

We all love sunny weather, but for a small child it may be too hot and too bright. Your stroller from birth should have sun protection, preferably in the form of an adjustable canopy that also shields from low sun. Look for UPF 50+ UV protection to be on the safe side.

5. Consider a protective mesh cover

A protective mesh cover shields your child from sun, wind and insects making the ride or the afternoon nap so much more comfortable. Look for a custom fitted mesh cover for maximum protection.
