Anti-sway cages are not adjustable
from Puyallup, WA
Comments about 9001 Raceway 2 Bike:
easily installs on 2004 Acura TL. My wife cam mount it by herself. However the anti-sway cages are configured in a manner the gears and chain to face each other with two bikes mounted. The road bikes are a 26" men's frame and a 25" woman's. The crank gears of one bike push into the front tire of the other bike. Maybe I'm missing something, it would be nice if the anti-sway cages could swapped or reconfigured so the gears and chain of two bikes face outward rather than against each other.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Does it really fit? Nope.....
from Washington, DC
I ordered this product for our 2013 Volt because they said it would fit. Got it in the mail and the fit guide was from 2012, which doesn't help me for a 2013 model. I had to call to get help because the 2012 fit guide of course doesn't work for the 2013 volt. Called and they gave me a fix which was completely different than what I wanted. The straps are supposed to go all the way to the top of the hatchback which is on the roof. This looks terrible, but I might have lived with that but that didn't work either. The curve of the hooks doesn't allow it to fit in the seam when the hatchback is open. I have tried to call to get help again but they are only open Tuesday-Friday. This is just too much work. I am sending it back for a refund and going to get one from a shop that will ensure me it fits.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this rack to go on 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS, there are few options for this car if you want to transport bikes, I read the reviews and they were favorable, the fit is excellent and I like the look. I work out of town during the week and have a 4+ hour drive back on weekends and I want to have my bike with me so highway security was a must, my FELT road bike never moves, the anti sway attachments are great, good purchase.
Great bike carrier, poor cable security
By TD Mountain Biker
from Cupertino, CA
I bought this carrier because the salesman said it locked to the car and was secure. (steel cables) I bought it and really liked how it fits my car, how it did not sway with bikes on it and how easy it is to attach and remove. Then yesterday when I was removing my bike I released the left-hand cables and realized I left my keys in the house and I had locked the right side. To my surprise when I tilted the carrier to the right it put slack in the cables and I took the rack off while still in the locked position. The salesman told me if someone really wanted to steal the carrier and bike they would have to cut the cables. Not the case. I was not looking for perfect just difficult to detour a would be thief. This comes off as easy as a strap system. All in all, this is a quality carrier just not as secure as its sold as. Wish there was a lock in the left side as well.

Thule 9001 bike rack
from Tn USA
Words can't describe the engineering that went into this rack. Amazing! No straps to get tangled. No plastic couplings that would easily break(Allen racks, you reading this!). Beyond-solid mounting. Built-in lock. Can change mount angle any time. Anti-sway mount for bikes built-in.Might be a bit hard for someone with poor mechanical knowledge to figure out but really not that bad.

Coolest trunk rack ever

We have the two bike Raceway rack on our Subaru Legacy wagon. This is one of those they finally built a better mouse trap products. About time someone replaced nylon straps with cables. Why didn't someone come out with this product at least 10 years ago? Design-wise, it's modern, hip looking, easy to use, and rock-solid. It only takes a minute or two to install once you've done it a couple of times, and have the procedure down. The racheting cable rollers are super easy to use. We also like the folding bike support arms when not in use, and being able to lock the rack to the car. Putting on most bikes is a piece of cake, and the straps and downtube bike stablizers work well. When the rack is not in use, the cables roll up completely into the unit, and the arms and supports fold into an incredibly small package.I do find two draw-backs - to make the rack so sturdy, the plastic resin used is heavy. So our 10 year old rear door struts can't keep the rear lift door open. I'm replacing the struts soon, but that shows how heavy the rack is. Also, the rear license plate is obscured when the arms are folded down. I'm pretty darn happy with this rack. I almost went cheap, but this one's so worth it.

About Me Casual/ Recreational
this is a very high quality product. the only reason i did not go for a lower model is because i will be taking it cross country. i too have an 07 mustang and it fits very well with out damaging the car. my only compliant is the instruction are too simple. they give no instruction on how to actually put the bike on or how to secure it properly. and they don't give many placement instructions either. just put rack on car using the fit guide which is just a number. i understand it can not give advice for every possible model but a little tip might have been helpful. otherwise it was pretty self explanatory.

Well Worth the $ Spent!!
from Columbia, SC
I put this rack on my 2008 Mustang. It is preserving the car well :D The only issue with carrying a mountain bike on it is the slant of my frame makes the bike slant so I will not be able to use the platform accessory. If you have a full suspension mountain bike you may not be able to use the no-sway cages due to clearance issues with shocks (mine was in the way). The rack holds it steady anyway unless you slam on your brakes or hit massive potholes a lot it won't be an issue with the front wheel tied. For the first time ever using a bike rack it only took me 30min out of the box to put it on the car. It comes pre-assembled.
