Best place on earth:
Sitting near the ocean listening to the waves roll along the beach. Seeing the world from the top of a mountain.

What elements of the nature do you work with/use/profit from in your sport?
Land and air - I ride my bike over all sorts of terrain, in all sorts of conditions. I navigate my road bike along mountain roads and city streets. On my mountain bike I travel over rocks, dirt, mud, and sand. And on my cyclocross bike I get to experience a mix of it all - pavement, dirt, grass, mud, snow, sand. Rarely does the weather stop me - hot or cold, wet or dry I ride my bike through it all.
Most awesome adventure of your life, so far..?
Living outside of the US for five years - two years in Denmark and two and a half years in New Zealand - was a lifetime adventure. I look back on those years remembering the tough times living among an unknown culture, especially in Denmark, but also I remember the awesome experience of living in a foreign land, the friends that I made and the new ways of thinking about life.
Most epic sport experience of your life, so far..?
In 2003 I raced La Grand Boucle Feminine and it was epic in every way - unbearable heat, incredibly hard stages, mega long transfers between stages and less than favorable accommodations. It was like no other race I have ever participated in from beginning to end.
Other interests besides your sport?
