Thule Culture

A Culture of Possibilities

Thule is built on an entrepreneurial spirit that goes back to the days of our founder, Erik Thulin. The premise is simple: delegated responsibility through open lines of communication and a keen awareness of cost is akin to running the business as if it were your own. This real sense of entitlement and empowerment helps our employees be successful and grow in their professional careers.

Plus, we do not believe in large centralized organizations. It is our core tenant that people should be close to the market and close to the production. We are tight knit group, who believe in each other and the work we do.  The Thule Group is managed out of a small headquarters with some 17 people in Malmö, Sweden. We recruit around our five operative business areas based in Sweden, the Netherlands and the United States. We manufacture in 30 strategic assembly units on three continents and sell through our own sales forces or distributors on all major car aftermarkets around the world.

Smart solutions, an active lifestyle and shared passions have always differentiated those who work at Thule. Who we are helps us make the best product for our customers. If you believe, then please, join us today.

Why Work at Thule?

Thule is a company where people who like challenges, changes and career opportunities will feel at home. Our roots are Scandinavian entrepreneurial, which means results are more important than time consuming organizational processes.

We are an open and communicative, “no nonsense” company where we give our leaders far-reaching financial and operational responsibility, and where we expect from all Thule coworkers a commitment to performance goals and objectives.

We expect real leadership. Our leaders are expected to handle uncertain situations, use open and honest communication, show passion for their work and promote execution through clear target setting.

Our Performance Management Program sets individual career plans and provides continuous feedback. Thule has been growing at a fast speed for more than a decade. The mixture of all Thule people shows a wide array of different professions, nationalities and ages, where diversity is constantly improving.

Working for Thule is more than just a job. Coworkers live an active lifestyle and bike, ski, run, hike, sail and camp — sometimes on their own but often with colleagues through Thule-sponsored events.
