Thule presents the new Thule Adventure Team, full of energy for the race agenda 2011

Munich, at the ISPO fair, 7th February 2011 - The Thule Adventure Team, brought together by Thule, aim to challenge the very best in some of the toughest, most extreme adventure races and multisport competitions in the world. After a successful first year in 2010, the team is now getting organized and set up for a new season starting with the Huairsinchi race in Fuerza del Viento, Ecuador, South America, in March. The team is extended from four to six members, of which four are totally new to the team.

Going into the 2011 season, Martin Flinta, captain of the Thule Adventure Team can look back on a successful first year. First place Abu Dhabi Adventure (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), Coast to Coast (New Zealand), Scandinavian Championship / Åre Extreme Challenge (Åre, Sweden) are just a few of the successes that the team has achieved.

“It has been a very good first year with the Thule Adventure Team”, says Martin Flinta. “Going into 2011 we can not only look back on some good results, but also on some good learning‟s on how we can achieve even better results. We will also make some changes to the team that we believe we will benefit from”, ends Martin.

The Thule Adventure Team will consist of:
Martin Flinta, 37 years, Team Captain, from Mölndal, Sweden
Eva Nyström, 33 years, Team Organizer, from Mölndal, Sweden
Jacky Boisset, 30 years, from Font-Romeu, France
Myriam “Mimi” Guillot, 31 years, from Font-Romeu, France
Andreas Svanebo, 27 years, from Sundsvall, Sweden
Per Vestling, 38 years, from Falun, Sweden

“We are proud of the successes that our team had during its first year as a dedicated Thule Team", says Per-Axel Larsson, VP Marketing Thule business area Vehicle Solutions. “We have been very much involved in the changes that are now being made and we do believe these are the right ones to really make the team become 'the’ dominant player at the multisport arena in 2011”, ends Per-Axel.
